Sankarshan Damle

Dr. Sankarshan Damle is a Research Scientist with the Foundational AI team at IBM Research, where he works on training and advancing Granite foundation models. His research interests span foundation models, AI agents, reinforcement learning, continual learning, multi-agent systems, mechanism design, and trustworthy AI.

Dr. Damle received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from IIIT Hyderabad as a Ripple-IIITH Fellow. Prior to joining IBM Research, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Microsoft Research India and at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (LIA) at EPFL, Switzerland.
