Common aspects of the magnetization behavior of the Γ₄ → Γ₂₄ → Γ₂ phase transitions in orthoferrites

The magnetization behavior in the vicinity of the reorientation phase transition was studied experimentally for a number of orthoferrites. The proposed model convincingly describes the experimental data with no fitting parameters. © 2006 American Institute of Physics.
