Concurrent chain and stepwise polymerizations for the preparation of block copolymers in one step

Block copolymers were produced in one step through simultaneous condensation and chain polymerization. This was achieved through the introduction of new unimolecular compounds, which can simultaneously act both as an initiator for condensation polymerization. 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy in combination with SEC were used to confirm the block structures.
