Effects of Depletion-Layer Modulation on Spurious Oscillations in IMPATT Diodes
Abstract
A theoretical analysis of the effects of depletion-layer modulation on spurious oscillations in IMPATT diodes is given. The relationship between the magnitude of the depletion-layer modulation, circuit impedance and threshold for degenerate instabilities is presented.
