Healthcare [Guest editors' introduction]

As pervasive computing technologies take their place in the world of medicine, we will need to balance the benefits to our health and well-being with the costs to our privacy. We must also consider the dangers of data overload, which could cause our healthcare professionals to miss seeing the forest through the trees.
