Synthetic Metals
The state sensitive detection technique of laser-induced-fluorescence has been employed to study inelastic collisions of NO molecules with Ag(l 111). The results show that direct collisions are predominant and that the effects of surface corrugation are small. Evidence is found for a rotational rainbow and for the production of rotational polarization. © 1982.
