The electron beam curing of perfluorinated acrylates such as 2-(N-butylperfluorooctanesulfonamido) ethyl acrylate, or of a perfluorinated diacrylate such as perfluoropolyether diacrylate, gives rise to low surface energy films which may be used as overcoats for a variety of surfaces. The contact angles for a variety of differently formulated cured films are as high as 107°. © 1990.
