Multifunctional orthogonal initiators for the construction of complex macromolecular architectures

Several approaches to macromolecular amphiphiles based on dendritic building blocks in combination with new initiators for the ring opening polymerization (ROP) of lactones and related cyclic esters are described with the objective of obtaining both static and dynamic micelles. Narrowly dispersed products with controlled molecular weights are achieved.
