Muon and other studies of magnetic ordering in cuprate layer-compounds

Muon spin rotation studies of magnetic ordering in the planar cuprates are reviewed. Particular attention is given to doped La2CuO4 and oxygen-depleted YBa2Cu3O7-δ and to related experimental investigations.
