Reply to "comment on 'theory of chemisorption on metallic surfaces: Role of intra-adsorbate Coulomb correlation and surface structure' "

Arguments to refute the preceding comments made by Brenig and Schönhammer (BS) are presented. In particular we note that the BS interpretation of the adsorbate induced peak in ultraviolet photoelectron spectra is inconsistent with their theoretical results. © 1978 The American Physical Society.
